Precision in Finish Carpentry
Starting with door installation is common for us. A tiny error, as small as 1/16 of an inch, can make a big difference, so we measure everything very carefully. We use a laser to check the floor level first. It’s pretty normal for us to find a big difference, like 1-1/4″, across the bottom of a door. Then we check how straight the walls are and measure the space all around the door. Once we have these numbers, we get the door and its frame ready, and sometimes we need to trim the drywall to make everything fit just right.
Our careful setup is what makes us stand out as finish carpenters. We pay attention to the little things, making sure doors are perfect before we move on to adding the finishing touches like trim and molding. Here are some examples:
